Paris BMX
Monday, August 13
My trip to Paris was mainly to do with bikes! I saw the end of the Tour De France and learnt a lot about BMXs.

The "30 years of Radness" exhibition was being set up in colette and the screenprint poster and t-shirt Ed had designed for it were being displayed and sold in the shop. (The screenprints are lush and limited edition of 45 you can buy them at Ed's site under shop )

We ended up accidently watching the Bicycle Film Festival, screening lots of films about bikes. My favourite was actually one called "Some Things Riding a Bike", a chalk board animation of things such as an octopus and a group kittens riding a bike. Despite it being really simple it was just brilliant.
Another great one was SKI BOYS (above) a Canadian film directed by Benny Zenga which was a super8 film of experiments with bicycles, mattresses and gravity...

Once the bikes were over the rest of the week was art, food, cafes, crossiants, cheese, wine, skateboarding and sketchbooks:
